Krasnoyarsk hosted the third sustainable development summit “Siberian Perspective”. The event focused on responsible consumption and supply chain management.
The summit brought together federal experts, managers of large industrial companies, volunteers, and media representatives. Participants discussed supplier sustainability criteria and played a business game to test their ESG knowledge. Traditionally, the Krasnoyarsk fun park “Bobrovy Log” became the venue for the summit.
On the first day of the summit, experts discussed business practices in supply chain management, as well as the consumer’s role and contribution to sustainable supply chain formation by the company.

As Vladimir Zhukov, Nornickel Vice President for Investor Relations and Sustainable Development, noted, “a responsible supply chain is an important building block in the sustainable development agenda. We must carefully choose vendors which supply us with raw materials, equipment, materials, etc. It is not enough for us to define our key priorities and values for ourselves, we should also see to it that our vendors honor and conform to these values.”
Some of the most interesting reports included “How to improve the quality of life in industrial cities. The Norilsk Development Agency’s projects”, Rosatom’s “Development of social practices and the culture of social activity in nuclear cities”, and RUSAL’s “The Sustainable Urban Development Index as a tool for identifying imbalances and prioritizing social investments”.

Summit participants studied successful sustainable development cases presented by different regions.

On the second day of the summit, participants did volunteer work in the Krasnoyarsk Pillars National Park, rebuilding the Sun observation deck on the climate trail. They also repaired the park’s eco-trail.

The summit ended with a festival, which featured the art exhibition “Wasterealism”, the conscious consumption school “Ecosha”, stylish designs from Ecofashion, and environmental innovations from participants of IMAKE and the children's technology park “Quantorium”.
