Kola MMC organized a community of safety ambassadors

During the Safety Ambassadors Project, Kola MMC selected volunteers ready to act as independent experts.

Sixty-five people expressed their desire to become safety experts at workplaces. The competition selected the 14 most socially efficient and active employees who are ready to promote occupational safe behavior among their colleagues.

Ambassadors will complete various training courses to implement the company's OHS goals, including zero workplace injuries. Their mission includes communicating the company's challenges to coworkers, resolving issues, and gathering feedback.

“Safety is everybody's business. Nowadays, the company is changing its attitude to this issue: all things are coming from the top level. For example, every top-10 level executive, board member, has a separate safety metric around the implementation of certain plans.

Everyone on every floor of our large building organization should have a safety-related topic on his or her agenda and think about maintaining safety without special retaliatory tools and make it part of our daily operating routine.”
