IRINA ZHUIKOVA,
Nornickel Director for Social Policy:
“By creating the agencies, we aimed to reduce the territories’ dependence on town-forming companies, rethink our corporate charitable policy and social investment policy. We conducted a survey in which more than 8,000 residents from 7 cities participated. They answered 360 questions and made 33,000 suggestions.
Based on the survey, we identified five areas that will lay the foundation for sustainable development of the territories:
- Urban environment — a good city to live;
- Business — a region with a developed service economy;
- Investment – a good city to invest in;
- A city with a thriving cultural and social life;
- A city with good tourism infrastructure."
