Future players of the Russian national hockey team came to train in Norilsk
Training is organised under the Red Machine program, which is the first national training programme for young hockey players in Russia. Training camps under the programme are based in the Russian cities that offer a high-quality infrastructure for playing hockey.
Owing to the active position of the company and its CEO Vladimir Potanin, Norilsk is on the list of these cities.
The young athletes trained for three days and then played against each others’ teams.
An honourable guest at the training camp was the famous Russian hockey player, winner of the World Junior Championship, NHL and KHL player Evgeny Artyukhin. He coached several training sessions. The senior group was attended by Norilsk hockey players: goalkeeper Gleb Tsuprenko and forward Nikita Kolesnikov.
On 16 April 2024, during the Red Machine training camp, the Norilsk hockey club celebrated its first birthday.
