Nornickel’s Great Water Festival: Sport, Activity, and Healthy Recreation on the Shores of Imandra
This year, Leningradskaya Embankment in Monchegorsk once again served as the region’s premier summer destination for outdoor enthusiasts, hosting Nornickel’s Great Water Festival. The event drew hundreds of participants and spectators from cities throughout the Murmansk Region. The festival offered something for everyone: thrilling dragon boat races, a competitive stand-up paddle (SUP) surfing championship, the “Klevaya Imandra” fishing tournament, and a creative homemade watercraft contest. Younger guests enjoyed interactive activity zones and hands-on workshops designed especially for them.
