Laying a backup fiber-optic communication line in Taimyr
The construction of the “Novy Urengoy–Norilsk” backup fiber-optic communication line has been completed. Some areas required the involvement of divers to handle the job.
The line enables stable data transmission for businesses and residents of the region. The 985 km line's capacity is 200 Gbps.
In 2018, the company laid the first 956 km data transmission line capable of transmitting 40 Gbit per second. The cost of the project was RUB 2.5 bn at that time.
