In 2017, a new indoor ice arena opened in the city. In 2025, an all-season synthetic ice rink was inaugurated. Now, both residents and athletes can ice skate and train on ice all year round.
The ice rink is covered with a cold-proof sandwich panel tent and features locker rooms, bathrooms and drying rooms.
The ice arena construction is an action area envisaged by the agreement between the Murmansk Region government and Nornickel on socio-economic cooperation.
