The Award that enables to eliminate gender stereotypes

The 5th International Competition “Talented Woman in Modern Industry” has opened its call for applications. Nornickel is one of the founders of the Women in Modern Industry non-profit organization, which introduced the award in 2020.

More than 1700 industry professionals have participated in the contest since its launch, about 400 women have become winners and runners-up, and 30% of the participants have advanced their careers.

You can submit an application for a colleague or yourself, choosing one of ten nominations. This year the award for women who are specialists in mining, metallurgy, petrochemical, manufacturing, and other related industries will cover the BRICS countries for the first time.

A jury of 27 professionals, who work in the largest companies in the Russian industrial sector and have international expertise, has already been chosen.

DARYA KRYACHKOVA,
Nornickel Vice President for HR Policy:

“Getting to the finale and winning the award is not only about recognizing the merits, achievements and professionalism of each participant. It is a chance to take the next career step.

When you pass the competition's rigorous selection process and receive a well-deserved award, you become more visible among your peers for a while. If a career opportunity within the company opens up at this point, the chances of getting a new role increase. Real success stories of our finalists from different companies prove this point perfectly.”
