The creation of a professional hockey team in Norilsk was initiated by Vladimir Potanin, Nornickel CEO and Head of the Board of Trustees of the Night Hockey League Amateur Hockey Development Fund. Legendary forward Pavel Bure came to support the team. He conducted coaching sessions with young athletes, participated in a charity match, watched the game between HC Norilsk and HC Sokol, and visited the Aika sports center.
