Vladislav Davydov, Chief Manager at Innovations and AI Department of Nornickel Sputnik, is confident that Nornickel’s work to build a heavy industrial exoskeleton will help other enterprises protect workers from external hazards.
The regulation has been elaborated at Nornickel’s request for exoskeletons through cooperation with the ROKAD Scientific and Technical Center and Technospark. The Occupational Medicine (Meditsina Truda) Research Institute is developing a notice board for this personal protective equipment. A state methodology for assessing exoskeleton safety is expected shortly.

VLADISLAV DAVYDOV,
Chief Manager at Innovations and AI Department of Nornickel Sputnik:
“In addition to their direct purpose, we will use exoskeletons to collect data. They will assess illumination, load lift weights, duration of operation, gas concentration (sulfur oxide and chlorine). That is, we can collect data and use it to prevent incidents, understand the process in detail and plan it better”.
