Nornickel plans to create 100+ new palladium alloys by 2030

Materials featuring palladium reduce the cost of 'green' energy sources in the hydrogen and solar energy sectors. This was voiced by Nornickel's representative at the BRICS Climate Agenda in Modern Conditions Forum. He also spoke about the integration of business, science and government in the climate change context.

DMITRY IZOTOV,
Head of the Palladium Technology Centre, Nornickel:

“We address the climate agenda from different angles. We are working on our own carbon footprint and have achieved one of the lowest CO2 emissions among mining business across the globe. At the same time, we supply metals and new technologies to other companies to enable their migration on a global basis."
