Skalisty mine dispatchers
The Professional Start program consists of two stages. At stage one, second year students of profession-oriented universities may have summer internships at Nornickel enterprises. This allows them to take a shot at real production, find themselves in a profession and accelerate career development.

The company cooperates with more than 30 profession-oriented universities and colleges across the country, pays students' expenses for travel to and from their internship, provides accommodation, covers medical examination costs and pays salaries subject to term employment contracts.

Stage two implies that participants take target training contracts with Nornickel. Before the training is over, students may have distance learning under Company programs and get increased scholarships from Nornickel. And their grade shall be not lower than "4", with no academic failures. Upon graduation, if young men do military service, their jobs in the company are retained.

The Professional Start program participants may be included in the talent pool and have a much better chance to get an executive position than other newcomers.

For secondary vocational school students the Company has the Polar College program. Its terms are similar to those of the Professional Start program.
